Summary

CVE-2026-61244 is a critical unauthenticated vulnerability affecting the Manufacturing component of Oracle PeopleSoft Enterprise FIN Manufacturing Argentina, version 9.1. Published as part of Oracle’s July 2026 Critical Patch Update (July 21, 2026), the flaw is remotely exploitable over HTTP with no authentication or user interaction required and carries a CVSS 3.1 score of 9.1 (Critical). Successful exploitation allows an unauthenticated network attacker to access, create, modify, or delete critical data within the affected system.

Mitigation and recommended actions

  • Immediate: Apply the Oracle July 2026 Critical Patch Update, which contains the official fix for CVE-2026-61244. Refer to Oracle’s CPU advisory for patch availability and installation instructions.
  • If patching is delayed: Restrict network-level access to all internet-exposed PeopleSoft web endpoints using perimeter firewall rules or VPN enforcement, limiting reachability to known trusted IP ranges. Oracle PeopleSoft’s PeopleSoft Internet Architecture (PIA) exposes web endpoints by design — network segmentation is a critical compensating control when patches cannot be applied immediately.
