CVE-2026-92808 – Unauthenticated SSRF Leading to Full Compromise – Altium Enterprise Server (Unified

Be the first to know when new zero-days emerge:

Summary

CVE-2026-92808 is a critical Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in the UnifiedLogin single sign-on service of Altium Enterprise Server. An unauthenticated network attacker can force the server to issue outbound HTTP requests to a destination of the attacker’s choosing, including internal services that are reachable only from the server itself. Exploitation can lead to credential theft, administrative session hijacking, and complete compromise of the on-premise Enterprise Server; Altium 365 cloud deployments are not affected.

Technical details

  • Root cause: The UnifiedLogin service (the on-prem Enterprise Server’s SSO endpoint) accepts attacker-controlled input that is used to construct outbound HTTP requests without adequate validation or restriction of the destination, combined with missing authentication checks on the affected function (CWE-918: SSRF, CWE-306: Missing Authentication for Critical Function).
  • Trigger conditions: No authentication or user interaction is required — a network attacker simply sends a crafted request to the UnifiedLogin endpoint.
  • Attack vector: Network (remote, unauthenticated). Privileges required: none. User interaction: none.
  • Impact: The forged requests can reach internal-only services (e.g., internal APIs or credential stores) that trust requests originating from the server itself, enabling retrieval of stored credentials and hijacking of administrative sessions, which can result in full compromise of the Enterprise Server deployment.
  • Deployment scope: Only on-premise Altium Enterprise Server installations are affected; Altium 365 cloud deployments are explicitly stated as unaffected.

Affected software

  • Altium Enterprise Server (on-premise) — all versions prior to 8.1.1
  • Component: UnifiedLogin Service (SSO endpoint)
  • Altium 365 (cloud) — not affected

Severity

  • CVSS v4.0 Base Score: 10.0 (Critical)
  • Vector: CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:H/SI:H/SA:H
  • Attack Vector: Network, Attack Complexity: Low, Privileges Required: None, User Interaction: None; full impact to confidentiality, integrity, and availability of both the vulnerable system and downstream (subsequent) systems.

Mitigation and recommended actions

  • Immediate: Upgrade all on-premise Altium Enterprise Server installations to version 8.1.1 or later, which remediates this issue.
  • If immediate patching is not possible:
    • Restrict network access to the UnifiedLogin/SSO endpoint so it is reachable only from trusted management networks, not the open internet.
    • Segment the Enterprise Server host from internal-only services and credential stores it should not be able to reach, to limit the blast radius of any forged outbound requests.
    • Monitor outbound HTTP traffic originating from the Enterprise Server host for connections to unexpected internal or external destinations.
    • Rotate credentials that may be reachable via internal services accessible from the Enterprise Server host as a precaution until patched.

How IONIX’s External Exposure Management Platform Detects and Validates
Zero-Days to Shrink MTTR

1

Map your entire attack surface (continously)

IONIX uses multi-factor discovery methods, including DNS analysis, certificate mapping, metadata inspection, and more, to automatically map every internet-facing asset across your environment. This includes cloud instances, third-party platforms, shadow IT, and even forgotten infrastructure that traditional tools miss.

2

Monitor for new CVEs

Dozens of threat intel feeds using agentic technology are continuously analyzed to detect the appearance of proof-of-concept code, exploit kits, and indicators of active targeting. IONIX goes further by applying AI to proactively evaluate whether emerging vulnerabilities are likely to be exploited, even before PoCs go public.

3

Identify Potential External Exposures

Not all CVEs matter. IONIX filters vulnerabilities by asking attacker-centric questions: Can it be reached from the internet? Does it require authentication? Is it being exploited in the wild? This dramatically reduces noise and focuses teams on threats that can actually be weaponized.

4

Create Safe, Scalable Exploit Validations

IONIX transforms real-world PoCs into safe, non-intrusive test payloads that can be run in production environments without disruption. These simulations are precisely targeted to the systems that are vulnerable, ensuring rapid validation without unnecessary load.

5

Execute Exploit Validations

By combining context about software stack, versioning, exposure status, and reachability, IONIX ensures that only the right payloads are executed against the right assets, maximizing efficiency and minimizing risk.

6

Drive Fast and Actionable Remediation

Results are routed through integrations with ticketing, SOAR, and SIEM tools. Issues are written in plain language, bundled into remediation clusters, and prioritized based on asset criticality, exploitability, and blast radius. This shortens mean time to remediation (MTTR) and empowers teams to act with confidence.
