CVE-2026-93467 – Unauthenticated RCE via Insecure Deserialization – HGiga OAKlouds custom_page (2.0/

Be the first to know when new zero-days emerge:

Summary

CVE-2026-93467 is a critical Insecure Deserialization vulnerability (CWE-502) affecting the custom_page module of HGiga’s OAKlouds enterprise collaboration platform. The flaw allows unauthenticated remote attackers to achieve arbitrary code execution on the underlying server by submitting maliciously crafted serialized data, without requiring any credentials or user interaction. The issue was reported by researcher Linwz of DEVCORE and disclosed by TWCERT/CC on September 18, 2026, carrying a critical severity rating.

Technical details

  • Root cause: The OAKlouds custom_page module deserializes attacker-supplied content without validating or restricting the types of objects that can be reconstructed, enabling insecure deserialization of untrusted data (CWE-502).
  • Trigger conditions: An attacker sends a specially crafted serialized payload to a reachable OAKlouds endpoint exposed by the custom_page component; no authentication or prior session is required.
  • Attack vector: Network-based (AV:N), low attack complexity, no privileges required, no user interaction — the vulnerability can be exploited directly over HTTP(S) against internet-facing OAKlouds deployments.
  • Impact: Successful exploitation results in arbitrary code execution on the server, giving an attacker full control over confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the affected system.

Affected software

  • HGiga OAKlouds custom_page 2.0 — versions prior to 26
  • HGiga OAKlouds custom_page 3.0 — versions prior to 26
  • HGiga OAKlouds custom_page 4.0 — versions prior to 26

Severity

  • CVSS v3.1 Base Score: 9.8 (Critical) — CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
  • CVSS v4.0 Base Score: 9.3 (Critical) — CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N

Mitigation and recommended actions

  • Immediate: Upgrade all affected OAKlouds custom_page deployments (2.0, 3.0, and 4.0) to version 26 or later, as provided by HGiga.
  • If immediate patching is not possible: Restrict network access to OAKlouds custom_page endpoints to trusted internal networks only, and place the application behind a web application firewall or reverse proxy capable of inspecting and blocking suspicious serialized payloads until the patch can be applied.
  • Review server and application logs for unexpected deserialization errors or unusual outbound connections that may indicate exploitation attempts.
  • Note: A related vulnerability, CVE-2026-93468 (Arbitrary File Read via path traversal), was disclosed in the same OAKlouds advisory and affects the bulletin_v3 module (versions before 107) — organizations running OAKlouds should review and patch both issues.

How IONIX’s External Exposure Management Platform Detects and Validates
Zero-Days to Shrink MTTR

1

Map your entire attack surface (continously)

IONIX uses multi-factor discovery methods, including DNS analysis, certificate mapping, metadata inspection, and more, to automatically map every internet-facing asset across your environment. This includes cloud instances, third-party platforms, shadow IT, and even forgotten infrastructure that traditional tools miss.

2

Monitor for new CVEs

Dozens of threat intel feeds using agentic technology are continuously analyzed to detect the appearance of proof-of-concept code, exploit kits, and indicators of active targeting. IONIX goes further by applying AI to proactively evaluate whether emerging vulnerabilities are likely to be exploited, even before PoCs go public.

3

Identify Potential External Exposures

Not all CVEs matter. IONIX filters vulnerabilities by asking attacker-centric questions: Can it be reached from the internet? Does it require authentication? Is it being exploited in the wild? This dramatically reduces noise and focuses teams on threats that can actually be weaponized.

4

Create Safe, Scalable Exploit Validations

IONIX transforms real-world PoCs into safe, non-intrusive test payloads that can be run in production environments without disruption. These simulations are precisely targeted to the systems that are vulnerable, ensuring rapid validation without unnecessary load.

5

Execute Exploit Validations

By combining context about software stack, versioning, exposure status, and reachability, IONIX ensures that only the right payloads are executed against the right assets, maximizing efficiency and minimizing risk.

6

Drive Fast and Actionable Remediation

Results are routed through integrations with ticketing, SOAR, and SIEM tools. Issues are written in plain language, bundled into remediation clusters, and prioritized based on asset criticality, exploitability, and blast radius. This shortens mean time to remediation (MTTR) and empowers teams to act with confidence.
