Summary
CVE-2026-104438 is a missing authorization (CWE-862) vulnerability in YesWiki, an open-source PHP wiki engine, affecting versions before 4.6.7. The listpagestag and includepages actions in YesWiki’s tags tool enumerate pages without applying read-ACL filtering, allowing unauthenticated or unprivileged attackers to disclose the names and body-derived titles of access-controlled pages. The flaw carries a CVSS v4.0 base score of 8.7 (High).
Technical details
- Root cause: the
listpagestagandincludepagesactions query and return matching pages by tag or page name without checking the per-page read-ACL that normally restricts visibility. - Trigger conditions: an attacker embeds either action with an arbitrary tag or page name parameter (e.g., via a crafted wiki page or direct request) to enumerate results.
- Attack vector: network-based, requires no authentication and no user interaction.
- Impact: disclosure of the existence, names, and titles of pages that are supposed to be restricted (e.g., admin-only pages), enabling reconnaissance and targeted follow-on attacks. Page body content rendered by the default template is not exposed by this issue, but metadata leakage alone can reveal sensitive structure or restricted content hints.
Affected software
- YesWiki versions prior to 4.6.7 (all versions from the initial release up to and including 4.6.6).
- YesWiki 4.6.7 and later are not affected.

Mitigation and recommended actions
- Immediate: upgrade to YesWiki 4.6.7 or later, which applies proper read-ACL validation to the
listpagestagandincludepagesactions. - If upgrading is not immediately possible: restrict or disable use of the
listpagestagandincludepagestag actions where feasible, and review which pages rely on ACL restrictions for sensitive content, since this flaw can reveal their names and titles to unauthenticated users. - Review wiki access logs for unusual enumeration-style requests referencing these actions with unexpected tag or page parameters.
