Summary
CVE-2026-104449 affects YesWiki, a PHP-based wiki platform, and allows unauthenticated attackers to overwrite the content of any existing wiki page through the Bazar entry-creation feature. The flaw is an access-control/authorization bypass (CWE-639, Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key) with no authentication or special privileges required to exploit it. The issue is rated HIGH severity (CVSS v4.0 base score 8.3) and affects all YesWiki releases prior to 4.6.7.
Technical details
- Root cause: the Bazar entry-creation mechanism accepts an attacker-controlled
id_ficheparameter without verifying whether it refers to an existing page, and the save operation is performed without enforcing the target page’s write access control list. - Trigger conditions: an attacker submits a crafted Bazar entry (via a POST request using the
{{bazar}}action) with anid_fichevalue matching an existing wiki page’s identifier. - Attack vector: Network — the request can be sent directly to the exposed wiki application without authentication or user interaction.
- Impact: the targeted page’s content is overwritten with attacker-supplied data, enabling mass defacement or destruction of existing wiki content, including navigation pages, homepages, or rules pages.
Affected software
- YesWiki: all versions before 4.6.7

Mitigation and recommended actions
- Immediate: upgrade YesWiki to version 4.6.7 or later, which addresses this access control flaw.
- If immediate patching is not possible: restrict unauthenticated access to the Bazar entry-creation endpoints at the network or reverse-proxy layer, enforce write ACLs independently of the application where feasible, and monitor wiki pages for unexpected content changes until the upgrade can be applied.
