Summary

CVE-2026-35274 is a high-severity unauthorized access vulnerability in Oracle PeopleSoft Enterprise PT PeopleTools, affecting the Deployment Package component. An unauthenticated remote attacker with network access via HTTP can exploit this flaw to gain unauthorized read access to sensitive data and perform limited data modification, with no user interaction required. Mitigation and recommended actions

  • Immediate: Apply Oracle’s June 2026 Critical Security Patch Update (CPU), which contains the official fix for CVE-2026-35274 for PeopleSoft Enterprise PT PeopleTools 8.61 and 8.62. Patch details and installation instructions are available via My Oracle Support (Note CPU167).
  • If immediate patching is not feasible: Restrict network-level access to PeopleSoft Deployment Package endpoints so they are not reachable from untrusted networks or the public internet. Apply egress and ingress filtering at the perimeter to limit exposure until the patch can be applied.
  • Monitor PeopleSoft server logs for anomalous unauthenticated access attempts targeting deployment-related endpoints.
