Summary

CVE-2026-35279 is a high-severity vulnerability in the Performance Monitor component of Oracle PeopleSoft Enterprise PT PeopleTools, affecting versions 8.61 and 8.62. An unauthenticated remote attacker can exploit this flaw over HTTP with no user interaction required, potentially achieving full system takeover. The vulnerability was disclosed on June 16, 2026, as part of Oracle’s June 2026 Critical Security Patch Update (CSPU), alongside a cluster of other high-severity PeopleTools flaws being actively targeted in the wild.

Mitigation and recommended actions

  • Immediate: Apply Oracle’s June 2026 Critical Security Patch Update (CSPU / CPU167) patches for PeopleSoft Enterprise PT PeopleTools. Oracle strongly recommends applying these patches without delay.   • If immediate patching is not feasible: Restrict network access to the Performance Monitor component and all PeopleSoft HTTP/HTTPS endpoints to trusted internal IP ranges. Block public internet access to PeopleSoft-characteristic paths (e.g., /psp/, /psc/) at the perimeter until patching is completed.
