Summary

CVE-2026-46927 is a high-severity vulnerability affecting the Internal Operations component of Oracle Receivables within Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), versions 12.2.3 through 12.2.15. The flaw allows an unauthenticated attacker with network access via SOAP to compromise Oracle Receivables, resulting in full impact to confidentiality, integrity, and availability. It was publicly disclosed on June 16, 2026, as part of Oracle’s June 2026 Critical Security Patch Update (CSPU).

Technical details

  • Root cause: A flaw in the Internal Operations component of Oracle Receivables, reachable over the network via the SOAP protocol, that can be exploited without any authentication.
  • Trigger conditions: The attacker requires network access to the Oracle EBS SOAP endpoint. Attack Complexity is rated High (AC:H), indicating that non-default configuration conditions must be present — however, this does not eliminate risk for organizations that meet those conditions.
  • Attack vector: Network (AV:N), no privileges required (PR:N), no user interaction required (UI:N).
  • Impact: Full compromise of the affected Oracle Receivables instance — complete loss of confidentiality (C:H), integrity (I:H), and availability (A:H).

Mitigation and recommended actions

  • Immediate: Apply the Oracle June 2026 Critical Security Patch Update (CSPU), available via Oracle’s security advisories at https://www.oracle.com/security-alerts/cspujun2026.html
  • If immediate patching is not feasible: Restrict external and internal network access to Oracle EBS SOAP endpoints at the perimeter firewall or web application firewall (WAF) level, limiting exposure of the Oracle Receivables Internal Operations component to trusted networks only. Consider whether internet-facing iReceivables portals are in scope and apply compensating controls accordingly.
