Summary

CVE-2026-60615 is a high-severity vulnerability in the Security component of Oracle PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Campus Community, affecting version 9.2.38. The flaw allows an unauthenticated, network-based attacker to exploit the system over HTTP with low attack complexity and no user interaction, resulting in unauthorized access to sensitive data and limited data modification capabilities. Disclosed as part of Oracle’s July 2026 Critical Patch Update, it carries a CVSS v3.1 base score of 8.2 (HIGH).

Technical details

Confidentiality impact is rated High; Integrity impact is rated Low; Availability is not affected.

Mitigation and recommended actions

  • Immediate action: Apply the Oracle July 2026 Critical Patch Update. Detailed patch instructions and download references are available in Oracle Support document CPU277 (accessible via support.oracle.com). Oracle does not provide back-ported fixes for older versions.
  • Network mitigation (if patching is not immediately feasible): Restrict network access to PeopleSoft Campus Community instances to trusted IP ranges and eliminate or limit internet-facing exposure until the patch is applied.
  • Oracle’s July 2026 CPU addresses 1,449 new security vulnerabilities across its product portfolio, including 84 PeopleSoft patches — 45 of which are remotely exploitable without authentication. Given the volume and severity of this release and the active exploitation landscape targeting PeopleSoft deployments, prompt patch application is strongly recommended.
