Summary

CVE-2026-56025 is a high-severity Unauthenticated Broken Access Control vulnerability (CWE-862: Missing Authorization) in the Paymob for WooCommerce WordPress plugin, affecting all versions up to and including 4.1.2. Rated 7.5 (HIGH) under CVSS v3.1, the flaw allows unauthenticated remote attackers to bypass access controls and invoke privileged plugin functionality on affected WooCommerce stores without any credentials or user interaction. Technical details

  • Root cause: A missing authorization, authentication, or nonce token check on a plugin function (CWE-862: Missing Authorization) allows unauthenticated requests to reach functionality that should be restricted to privileged users.
  • Trigger conditions: Any unauthenticated network request targeting the unprotected function is sufficient to trigger exploitation — no credentials, special configuration, or user interaction are required.
  • Attack vector: Network-accessible (AV:N), low attack complexity (AC:L), no privileges required (PR:N), no user interaction (UI:N), and no scope change (S:U).
  • Impact: High integrity impact (I:H) with no confidentiality or availability impact. In the context of a payment gateway plugin, exploitation of unauthorized privileged access can enable manipulation of payment-related functionality within the WooCommerce store.
