Summary

CVE-2026-57700 is a critical Unrestricted Upload of File with Dangerous Type vulnerability (CWE-434) in OMGF Pro, a premium WordPress plugin by Daan.Dev that enables GDPR-compliant local hosting of Google Fonts. The flaw affects all versions of OMGF Pro through 5.2.6 and carries a maximum CVSS 3.1 base score of 10.0 (Critical), reflecting unauthenticated remote exploitability with complete impact across confidentiality, integrity, and availability. A patched release (version 5.2.7) was published by the vendor on June 25, 2026.

Technical details

  • Root cause: The plugin fails to validate or restrict the type of files that can be uploaded, permitting submission of arbitrary file types — including server-executable files such as PHP webshells — through unauthenticated HTTP requests.
  • Trigger conditions: No authentication, elevated privileges, or user interaction is required. The vulnerability is directly exploitable over the network with low attack complexity (AC:L).
  • Attack vector: Remote, unauthenticated HTTP/HTTPS request targeting the plugin’s file upload functionality.
  • Impact: Successful exploitation enables an attacker to upload and execute malicious files on the target server. Mitigation and recommended actions

  • If immediate patching is not possible: Restrict access to the WordPress administration interface and plugin upload endpoints at the web server or network perimeter level. Consider temporarily deactivating the plugin until the update can be applied.
