CVE-2026-62452 – Unauthenticated RCE-Level Compromise – Oracle Siebel CRM Cloud Applications 22.3–26

Be the first to know when new zero-days emerge:

Summary

CVE-2026-62452 is a critical vulnerability in the Siebel Cloud Manager component of Oracle Siebel CRM Cloud Applications. It allows an unauthenticated, remote attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise the application, resulting in unauthorized access to and modification of Siebel CRM Cloud data and partial denial of service. Oracle rates the flaw 9.9 (Critical) on CVSS v3.1, reflecting the combination of no authentication requirement, no user interaction, and a change in security scope.

Technical details

  • Root cause: A flaw in the Siebel Cloud Manager component of Siebel CRM Cloud Applications that is "easily exploitable."
  • Trigger conditions: No authentication or user interaction is required to trigger the vulnerability.
  • Attack vector: Network access via the HTTP protocol; the vulnerability can be exploited over a network without requiring logon credentials.
  • Impact: Successful exploitation can result in unauthorized access to or disclosure of critical data (high confidentiality impact), unauthorized modification of some data (low integrity impact), and a partial denial of service (low availability impact). The scope is rated "Changed," meaning the vulnerable component can impact resources beyond its own security scope.

Affected software

  • Oracle Siebel CRM Cloud Applications, versions 22.3 through 26.6 (inclusive)

Severity

  • CVSS v3.1 Base Score: 9.9 (Critical)
  • Vector: CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:L/A:L

Mitigation and recommended actions

  • Immediate: Apply the fix provided in Oracle’s Critical Patch Update Advisory for August 2026 (cspuaug2026), which addresses CVE-2026-62452 for all supported Siebel CRM Cloud Applications releases from 22.3 through 26.6.
  • If patching cannot be performed immediately: Restrict or monitor network/HTTP-level access to Siebel Cloud Manager endpoints where feasible, and review Oracle’s advisory for any interim guidance; there is no documented workaround in place of the vendor patch, so patching should be prioritized as soon as possible given the unauthenticated, network-exploitable nature of this flaw.

How IONIX’s External Exposure Management Platform Detects and Validates
Zero-Days to Shrink MTTR

1

Map your entire attack surface (continously)

IONIX uses multi-factor discovery methods, including DNS analysis, certificate mapping, metadata inspection, and more, to automatically map every internet-facing asset across your environment. This includes cloud instances, third-party platforms, shadow IT, and even forgotten infrastructure that traditional tools miss.

2

Monitor for new CVEs

Dozens of threat intel feeds using agentic technology are continuously analyzed to detect the appearance of proof-of-concept code, exploit kits, and indicators of active targeting. IONIX goes further by applying AI to proactively evaluate whether emerging vulnerabilities are likely to be exploited, even before PoCs go public.

3

Identify Potential External Exposures

Not all CVEs matter. IONIX filters vulnerabilities by asking attacker-centric questions: Can it be reached from the internet? Does it require authentication? Is it being exploited in the wild? This dramatically reduces noise and focuses teams on threats that can actually be weaponized.

4

Create Safe, Scalable Exploit Validations

IONIX transforms real-world PoCs into safe, non-intrusive test payloads that can be run in production environments without disruption. These simulations are precisely targeted to the systems that are vulnerable, ensuring rapid validation without unnecessary load.

5

Execute Exploit Validations

By combining context about software stack, versioning, exposure status, and reachability, IONIX ensures that only the right payloads are executed against the right assets, maximizing efficiency and minimizing risk.

6

Drive Fast and Actionable Remediation

Results are routed through integrations with ticketing, SOAR, and SIEM tools. Issues are written in plain language, bundled into remediation clusters, and prioritized based on asset criticality, exploitability, and blast radius. This shortens mean time to remediation (MTTR) and empowers teams to act with confidence.
